TSA Wait Times - Wordpress Plugin

Add estimated wait times for all U.S. airport security checkpoints to your website.

It's easy to add estimated wait times for airports across the United States with our Wordpress Plugin. Just follow the instructions below to add this functionality to your Wordpress website!

Step 1: Install the TSA Wait Times Plugin

First things first - you'll need to download and activate the TSA Wait Times plugin. The easiest way to do this is by signing into your WordPress Administration section and searching for it. Find Plugins from the WordPress admin menu and click on Add New.

Find the TSA Wait Times plugin in the search results and click the INSTALL NOW button.

Step 2: Activate the plugin

Once you've added the plugin, you'll need to activate the plugin. From the WordPress Administration screen, click on "Plugins" and click on "Installed Plugins". Once it has been added, look for the TSA Wait Times plugin. When you find it, click the Activate link. If you don't see the TSA Wait Times plugin in your Installed Plugins list, please go back to Step 1 and be sure to click the Install Now button next to our plugin from the search results.

Step 3: Register for an API Key

In order for the plugin to retrieve airport information, you'll need to create an API Key on the TSAWaitTimes.com website. The screenshot below is a sample of what this looks like. This key allows your plugin to tell us who you are and allows us to monitor the resources used so that we can continue to provide a responsive platform for everyone.

If you need to create an API key, do so and then come back here and go to Step 4.

Step 4: Add your API Key to Wordpress

Once you have your API key, go back to your WordPress Administration screen and click on the Settings option. From there, look for the "TSA Wait Times Settings" link.

On this screen, you'll be able to put your API key into the appropriate box. You'll also be able to customize the plugin. For example, if you don't want to show a wait time image, FAA alerts, hourly estimates, or TSA Precheck lanes, you can enable/disable them from this Settings screen.

Step 5: Add the Shortcode to Your Website

With the plugin installed and your API key activated, you can now add airport security wait times to your website.

To add an airport, simply add the following shortcode:

[tsa_wait_time airport='XXX']

Replace XXX with an airport code from the list at the bottom of this page.
